2. Diego Valeri – Portland Timbers – Last Week 2nd

The Timbers most creative midfielder was stifled by the Crew this past weekend. While he did have a few chances at goal, with one hitting the post, he wasn’t his effective self. The Timbers and Valeri will look to get back on track this weekend when they take on the New England Revolution at home on Sunday.

1. Josef Martinez – Atlanta United – Last Week 1st

He’s he best player in the MLS right now, no doubt. The biggest question, however, I said the injury he suffered during the International break.  While he will only be out 4-6 weeks, there’s no telling how impactful he will be when he comes back.
