FC Dallas vs. New England Revolution: Preview and How to Watch
By Daniel Garza
Two teams with opposite schedules over the last week will look to come away with all three points in the third match day of the 2017 season.
After missing out on their second match of the season due to weather, the New England Revolution will travel to a much warmer Texas in search of their first points of 2017. Their opponents are hot off their 2-1 win in the CONCACAF Champions League, mid-week, against Pachuca, and an undefeated record in their first two matches of the Major League Soccer season.
Preview
FC Dallas are the favorites on paper coming into this match, however, after their mid-week appearance in the CCL they will most likely be on tired legs. Additionally, the Revolution had an extra week of rest and preparation. This could be a trap match for Dallas as their opponents are very much capable of scoring goals, especially if they can find an edge in fitness.

The Revolution have yet to score, but the duo of Kei Kamara and Juan Agudelo appear to be ready to explode in the goal scoring department. A goal from either of these two will most likely be needed this weekend, Dallas has struggled on set pieces a few times already this season, which could be a point of attack for Kamara.
On a negative note, the Revs may be without midfielder Lee Nguyen who is listed as questionable heading into Saturday.
In their own right, Dallas are very much an offensive machine themselves. Kellyn Acosta is having a memorable start to his season and the midfielder will be one to watch for on Saturday night. Maxi Urruti is also off to a good start with two goals in his last three appearances and Cristian Colman has shown himself to be dangerous as well.
These two clubs recent history as been dominated by Dallas, as the Texas club have won the five straight against the Revolution, outscoring them 11-2.
