Second Half
The second half belonged to San Jose. It took them less than 10 minutes to even the score. Kekuta Manneh failed to track the run of Nick Lima. The Quakes right back pounced on a loose ball in the Whitecaps box and beat Tornaghi at his near post. It was Lima’s first goal in only his second ever MLS appearance.

San Jose took another 20 minutes to score the winning goal, but it was worth waiting for. For the second straight week, Aníbal Godoy scored a spectacular winning goal for the Earthquakes. Godoy found time and space outside the Whitecaps box and guided the ball into Tornaghi’s top corner.
Take a bow, @a_godoy03!

Despite throwing on Christian Bolaños and Fredy Montero, the Whitecaps could not find a response. Vancouver have never won in San Jose, and despite the good start, that streak will continue.
