It was a great start to the 2017 MLS Fantasy season for Fanendo Adi and Diego Valeri.

We’re one weekend into the MLS Fantasy season and the likes of Diego Valeri and Fanendo Adi are off to hot starts. While they both tied for the league lead in fantasy points, with16, will it be the same in week 2?

As always with fantasy sports, there are a lot more questions then answers. While you may get lucky one week, keep that hot streak can be difficult to maintain.

So if you had this dream team this week then you’re well on your way to winning a fantasy title. But this is a new week and will the same players be able to put up the same type of numbers?

Three key tidbits heading into week 2

1. Rely on the Portland Offense

The Timbers offense looks very dangerous.  And if you had Valeri and Adi in week 1 then you’re surely keeping them for week 2.  And if you didn’t i would put them into your lineup now (if you can manage to afford it).  Also it looks like the Galaxy will be going with their third string back on Sunday, so it should be a big game from the Timbers again.  You likely won’t regret making either Valeri or Adi your captain this week.

2. Is San Jose a good play?

San Jose is coming off a big win against Montreal last week, with Anibal Godoy as the catalyst.  He had the third highest point total of the weekend, with 15. With the Earthquakes playing a home game on Saturday look for Godoy to put up similar numbers again.

3. Have a little faith in Atlanta and Miguel Almiron

While Atlanta may have lost their first game, the next one should be a little easier.  As they get ready to take on their expansion counterparts Minnesota.  So look for Miguel Almiron to be up there in the points tally this weekend.  After having a few chances against the Red Bulls on Saturday, he’ll likely have more this time around.
