2017 MLS Golden Boot: Who will rise to the top?

With the 2017 MLS season just days away, it’s time to give some predictions on who will be the top 5 for the Golden Boot this year!

When it comes to the MLS Golden boot there can only be one winner.  Last year was a duel right down to the end of the season.  Bradley Wright-Phillips walked away with the trophy David Villa wasn’t far behind.  Wright-Phillips finished the season with a whopping 24 goals, while Villa was a close second with 23 of his own.

Seems like this season is shaping up to be another barn burner.  There are many players that could walk away with the honors.  And there are the usual suspects like Wright-Phillips, Villa, and Giovinco.  But what about a few dark horses this year like Dom Dwyer, Ola Kamara, or maybe even Fredy Montero? Well Whitecaps fans can only dream.

While 2016 had a lot of highlight real goals, as you will see below, 2017 will hopefully have more. Lets have a look at the top five goals of the MLS season.

Now on to the predictions for the 2017 Golden Boot.
