There’s less than a week until the 2017 MLS season kicks off and a handful of teams will debut some new threads on opening weekend. But who has iconic designs and who missed the mark? Here is a ranking of the new kits you will see out west this season.

11. Real Salt Lake

RSL’s away kit is a real snoozer. With a great color scheme of red, blue, and gold they have so many opportunities to do something unique and bold. Just going with the white alternate will almost always lose you points in my book.

10. LA Galaxy

At least it’s not white due to their primary kits being white, but this isn’t a whole lot better. There is nothing glaringly bad about this offering, but there is plenty more that is better in the conference.

9. Minnesota United FC

The sash and grey is a nice and unique combo, although the circular sponsor just feels a little bit off. Minnesota gets docked here for having a white alternate that looks more like a training top.
