Dom Dwyer made up for a slight dip in form from the previous season with 16 goals in 2016 at the rate of 0.51 goals per game, making it his second-best scoring season in the MLS after his 22 goal exploits in 2014.

The 26-year-old Englishman also scored two game-winners and racked up three assists as he showcased his ability to lead the line for Sporting, who ended their regular season by qualifying for the Playoffs following a fifth-place finish in the Western Conference.

The 5’9” forward has now scored double-digit goals in each of his last three seasons. His overall goal scoring record for Sporting Kansas City stands at 52 goals in 113 appearances.
