 8. Nicolas Lodeiro

Yes, Yes, he hasn’t been in the MLS that long and it’s only a small sample size, but he has done enough to make this list.  When Lodeiro left Boca Juniors to come to the MLS this past summer the Sounders were at the bottom of the league.

As the best DPs do, Nico makes others around him better and has a wonderful ability to create chances. Since coming over, in 19 games, including the playoffs, Lodeiro registered eight goals and eight assists.  He already has a MLS cup to his name and there should be more to come.
