#16 – Portland Timbers

Matches Played: 214

Wins: 77

Percentage: 36%

The lowest ranking MLS Champion in the list. While the club has won over a third of their matches, a history of draws has kept the Timbers out of the playoffs four of their six seasons in the league. Portland’s seasons seem to be either boom or bust.

Home to one of the best stadium environments, Portland has barely missed the playoffs several times. However, in 2013 they finished top of the Western Conference, but were unable to reach MLS Cup. Two years later, the Timbers became the hot team at the right time and had a dramatic path to the Cup final and victory.
