#1 – LA Galaxy
Matches Played: 736
Wins: 352
Percentage: 47.8%
If you had to guess at the start of the slideshow and you’ve been following the league for at least a few years, then you probably guessed the Los Angeles Galaxy. While D.C. United were the dominant team in the first decade, no one has come close to LA in the past 15 years.
At 352 league and playoff wins, the Galaxy have an almost impossible to believe win rate of nearly 48%. With stats like that, there is very little bad to note, but the club did miss the playoffs for three straight years between 2006-2008. Those three years would be the only ones out their 21 seasons they would miss the postseason.
The honors sheet is as long as you’d imagine – eight time Western Conference Champions, four time Supporters’ Shield winners, and five time MLS Cup Champions. From Landon Donovan to Cobi Jones, and David Beckham to Robbie Keane, the Galaxy has been built on stars and it has consistently paid off.
At this point LA is considered a playoff contender every season, even now having lost Bruce Arena and Robbie Keane. While a bad year from the Galaxy and a strong one from Seattle could see the two swap spots, no one will touch LA’s trophy case any time soon.

There you have it! The winningest franchise in MLS history is the LA Galaxy, along with a few surprise teams mixed in. Tampa Bay and Miami obviously existed too early, while Portland’s title stands out from the club’s history thus far.
