One of only six MLS clubs to have over 700 league matches, the Rapids have had an up and down history to say the least. In the first five seasons of the league, Colorado made it to the playoffs four times, finishing at least fourth or better, and losing in the ’97 final.

The 2010 MLS Cup victory marked the franchise high point, even though they only won 12 games during the regular season. 2014 and ’15 were not kind to the Rapids, dropping them in these rankings as they totaled 33 losses during that time. 2016 saw a massive turnaround from 10th in the West to 2nd place, and a spot in the Western Conference finals.
