5 big inclusions from Arena’s January USMNT camp
Stefan Frei
Long before his historic save in the MLS Cup Final, Sounders fans have been calling for Frei to get his shot with the USMNT. After being ignored by Switzerland, his MVP performance in the championship has earned him a call in. With Tim Howard out injured and Brad Guzan on the bench at Middlesbrough, this was the perfect window to slide into. It will be a surprise if Frei doesn’t get in to one of the two matches coming up for the USMNT in order to cap tie him to the US.
