Diaz was well through most of another great season as one of the most dynamic midfielders in MLS before having his season end to injury midway through October. Prior to, he was still his electrifying self, with acceleration and top-end speed that could shred up backlines, or intimidate them enough to make room for a teammate. He did that quite often, netting 13 assists in his 27 appearances.
