Though not as accoladed as his 2015 campaign that saw him win the Golden Boot, MVP, Newcomer of the Year, and most assists, the diminutive Italian put together another great season that saw him become the all-time leading goalscorer for Toronto. His 17 goals and 15 assists were good enough to carry his team to it’s first appearance in the MLS Cup Final.
