Jordan Morris signed with the Seattle Sounders on a homegrown player deal on January 21st and no other homegrown player had the expectations and hopes that Morris had heaped upon him. Even though these expectations got to him in his first few games, Morris came up huge for the Sounders once Dempsey left for international duty, scoring 12 goals and assisting his teammates 4 times. His efforts gave him the MLS Rookie of the Year award and was instrumental in the Sounders’ run to lift MLS Cup for the first time in the club’s 8 year MLS history. The future looks very bright for this USMNT prospect and now Sounders legend.
