#2- Vancouver Whitecaps

The second dirtiest team in the MLS this season was the Vancouver Whitecaps. Though they didn’t qualify for the playoffs this year, they committed a total of 479 total fouls during the regular season, averaging 14 fouls per game. They also finished 3rd when MLS disciplinary points are taken into account, showing some consistency with their play.

Throughout the season the Whitecaps picked up an impressive 8 red cards during the season. One of these came to Pedro Morales who lashed out at Cristian Roldan during their October 2nd clash with the Seattle Sounders. After Roldan passed the ball away, Morales went out of his way to give Roldan an elbow to the face. You can watch it here.
