Coming in as the 3rd dirtiest team in the MLS during the 2016 season is the Colorado Rapids. Colorado had an incredible turnaround from finishing in last place in the Western Conference last season to being 2 points away from winning the Supporters’ Shield and making it to the Western Conference Final this season, they were the surprise team of the season. But they did so with committing the 3rd most fouls of any team in the MLS with 458, averaging 13.5 fouls a game.

Similarly to FC Dallas, Colorado’s MLS disciplinary points see them ranked as 10th in the MLS, even though they picked up 84 yellow cards during the season and two red cards. One of these red cards came from Eric Miller after a very late challenge on Pedro Morales. The game ended 2-2 but this was a nasty challenge. You can watch the foul here.
