Real Salt Lake finished 6th in the Western Conference during the regular season and was eliminated by the eventual MLS Cup Champions the Seattle Sounders in the first knockout round. When it came to fouls, though, Real Salt Lake finished 8th overall with fouls committed with 434 fouls, just 3 more than Montreal Impact. They also finished 8th with MLS disciplinary points.

This season saw RSL defender Jamison Olave make MLS history against the Portland Timbers in March by receiving his 10th ever MLS red card, making him the MLS’ all-time leader in red cards. You can watch the red card that made him history here.
