Jéferson Rodrigues Gonçalves- Sporting Kansas City

From 2009-2011, Jéferson was under contract with Vasco Da Gama who at the time played mostly in the Brazilian first division (with one year in the second division). But in 2011 Jéferson was sent out on loan to Sporting Kansas City, who signed a designated player contract with the club for that year.

Though he was given the a play-making title, in 571 minutes he only picked up 1 assist while making somewhere around $430,000 a year. Eventually Jéferson found himself on the bench more than on the field and by the end of the 2011 season he became a free agent and went back to Brazil.
