Second Place: Toronto FC

Currently sitting in second place of the Eastern Conference, Toronto will most likely not be moving around the table much and claim a spot in the playoffs by finishing second in the East. While Toronto came out strong at the beginning of the season, they lost their winning ways and only won 1 game in 13 when the injury bug struck and Giovinco found himself in a rut. Now, though, Toronto is on a 4 game winning streak going into Week 23 action and will be favored to make it 5 as they travel to Houston Saturday night.

The biggest reason I have Toronto finishing so high is the way that Giovinco is playing again. He scored 2 hat-tricks in the last 4 games for Toronto and 7 goals in that same time frame. Now that he is scoring again, his style of play has completely changed. His confidence is once again where it should be when you are a player of his level and he is making a real claim for a second consecutive MLS MVP Award. If his form keeps up in the next 2 and a half months, Toronto will be the team to beat heading into the playoffs.
