It is no secret that the LA Galaxy are not at the level they were a few years ago. After crashing out of the playoffs last year to the Sounders in the Wild Card match to going through a few tough runs this season, the Galaxy finally look like they are getting a hold of their season and are grabbing some big wins while actually playing some defense as well. Though not quite good enough to grab first place from a surprisingly strong Rapids side, LA will grab second after a tight Western Conference race.

One of the difference makers that we are not used to seeing for the Galaxy will be Emmanuel Boateng. Though he shouldn’t be expected to start every upcoming game, his speed on the wing could easily tear defenses apart late in the game  after coming off the bench. Linking up with players such as Robbie Keane and Gyasi Zardes and with Steven Gerrard coming out of the midfield, LA will be a force to reckon with.
