Giovani dos Santos

Position: Midfielder/Forward

Club: LA Galaxy (Designated Player)

Previous All-Star game appearances: none

LA Galaxy’s Designated player Giovani dos Santos is the final midfield pick in the MLS All-Star Fan XI. Blessed with plenty of agility and superior technique, the former Tottenham and Villareal attacking midfielder hasn’t had the most fruitful club career so far, but his exploits for Mexico on the international stage has maintained his reputation as a brilliant talent and a big game player.

The 27-year-old is quickly getting into his groove in 2016 after joining the California based franchise midway through 2015 and has already topped his stats from the previous season, which saw him garner 3 goals and 5 assists in 10 starts. He is a versatile player who can play anywhere along the forward line or even as a secondary striker.

dos Santos’ international experience will come in handy when taking on the Gunners, who will surely find it hard to contain his clever passing and flair.
