Keegan Rosenberry

Position: Defender

Club: Philadelphia Union

Previous All-Star game appearances: none

A young and exciting prospect in the league, Keegan Rosenberry has started every game for the Philadelphia Union since joining them as their No.3 pick in the 2016 MLS SuperDraft. The 22-year-old Pennsylvania native is a right-back who packs decent skill, and his performances this year have already seen him rise to become one of the fan favourites at the club.

Keegan has kept away a few of the most dangerous forwards including the likes of Didier Drogba and Robbie Keane with some patient defending especially in 1v1 situations, which will come in handy while taking on Arsenal’s attackers. His calmness is one attribute that really stands out, as he doesn’t have a single bookable offense against him in 19 league games this season.

It’s pretty surprising to see his rise to the top, given that he is playing in his debut season in the MLS. Already a front-runner for 2016 MLS Rookie of the Year, his inclusion in the Fan’s XI is a worthy one.
