Who Should Sign Alvaro Fernandez?
Chicago Fire
Yes, I know I just listed off his two former teams. But let’s be real, they both need all the help they can get. Though the Fire came off a strong, dominant, performance against San Jose at home, Chicago still sit in dead last in the MLS and the Eastern Conference and they are only averaging one goal a game, scoring 15 goals so far this season.
The Fire could see Fernandez sit behind Igboananike and support him, Accam, and Goossens up top. But as we said earlier, Fernandez was a dominant force on the wing when he played in Seattle, which could mean he rotates in with Accam and Goossens and makes himself a threat on the wing. Either way, the Fire could use a signing like Fernandez to get more goals coming their way.
