Top 10 Players Available in Re-Entry Draft
By Zach Lahey
Major League Soccer put out a list of 60 players available for the MLS Re-Entry Draft. This list involves veteran players who have many years of service in the league. Here is my top 10 of players available in this years draft.
10. Chris Schuler
Schuler was drafted by Real Salt Lake in 2010. Schuler has proven to be a great defensive player for RSL in the five seasons he has played for them. He has five goals in his MLS Career and would bring great defensive support to any team in the league.
9. Jason Johnson
In 2013, Johnson made his MLS debut for the Houston Dynamo. He was then traded to the Chicago Fire in 2015. He scored two goals in twenty appearances. Many fans may be shocked why he is on this list, but I believe Johnson has the ability to be a great asset to any team who needs offensive help, maybe the Philadelphia Union?
8. Mauro Rosales
Rosales started playing in the Primera Division in Mexico and made the switch to Major League Soccer in 2011. He helped the Seattle Sounders capture the U.S Open Cup that year and tallied 12 goals and 34 assists in his three seasons with the team. He has also played for Chivas U.S.A and the Vancouver Whitecaps. He is a skilled versatile midfielder who can bring experience to any club.

7. Seth Sinovic
Sinovic played for Sporting Kansas City and helped the team win the MLS Cup in 2013. I have always been a fan of Sinovic, and his style of play. Sinovic is a great left back who can be a defensive reinforcement to any team. I can see Sinovic going to a team like the Chicago Fire.
6. Jackson
Jackson arrived to Major League Soccer in 2010. He has played for F.C Dallas and Toronto F.C. He is a physical, powerful player who could be very valuable to any organization. He can play almost anywhere on the field. I see a team that lacks depth on their bench to grab him.
5. Andy Dorman
Dorman started his career with the New England Revolution in 2004. He then moved to Crystal Palace where he spent two seasons. In 2015, he played for the New England Revolution and he played a key role in their trip to the 2014 MLS Cup. I see Dorman as an experienced player who can develop many young midfielders. If I had to pick a team to pick him I think the perfect fit for him would be in San Jose.

4. Jairo Arrieta
I have always liked Arrieta and feel he was not given a shot in D.C. He needs a fresh start, most likely with a team who does not have a definite striker. He is fast, skilled, and knows the game very well. I hope he can regain the form he was in when with the Crew. I see the Rapids selecting Arrieta in the draft.
3. Tally Hall
Hall was a former MLS All Star when he was with the Dynamo. He enjoyed several successful seasons with Houston until he was traded to Orlando City. He has dealt with a torn ACL but I believe this will not stop Hall from being the goalkeeper he once was. I see him as the #1 goalkeeper available in this draft. I think either the Montreal Impact or Colorado Rapids will select him.
2. Gabriel Torres
Torres arrived in Colorado in 2013 and was excellent from the start. He is a strong, powerful striker who can hold the ball up very well. He is also very good with the ball at his feet. He has scored ten goals in two seasons with the Colorado. Even though his numbers are not efficient, I believe he can be a dominant force in this league. If any team selects him in the draft, a team like Real Salt Lake would be the best fit.
Next: Manchester United the future of US Soccer?
- Boniek Garcia
By far the most proven player in this list, Garcia has shown he can dominate in this league. Garcia has been with the Dynamo since 2012 and has 11 goals. He has played for his home country of Honduras for over a decade and has over 100 caps. He is an experienced midfielder who can bring knowledge to any team. If I was a General Manager in the MLS, I would jump at the chance to have Garcia on my team.
The 2015 MLS Re-Entry draft will take place on Friday December 11th, 2015.
