According to a report on Italian transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio’s website, Miami FC are interested in bringing another big name Brazilian player to Florida. After numerous rumours and transfer stories about a possible move to MLS, Robinho ended up in China with Guangzhou on loan. However, the former Real Madrid man would prefer to play in the United States and if the reports are to be believed, that could happen sooner than later.

The 31-year-old has a plethora of experience playing across the globe for the likes of Santos, Manchester City, Milan, Guangzhou, and the aforementioned Real Madrid. The striker has also made 100 appearances for his country, scoring 29 goals in that time.

Robinho has won important trophies throughout his career that include two Campeonato Brasileiro Serie A titles, a Copa do Brasil, two La Liga titles, a Supercopa de Espana, a Copa America, a Serie A Scudetto, a SuperCoppa Italiana, two FIFA Confederation Cups, and a Superclasico de la Americas.

Miami FC are owned by Riccardo Silva, and Italian legend Paolo Maldini. Recently, they announced that another Italian legend Alessandro Nesta would be the club’s first ever head coach. Nesta is a former teammate of Robinho’s at Milan, and could be a big reason why the Brazilian would decide to come over and play in the North American second division.

Only time will tell if Miami FC are able to convince Robinho to move to the sunshine state, but if they can pull it off, it would represent a massive signing for the club and the league. The NASL is continually trying to improve the product on the pitch, and the signing of Robinho would go a long way in making that happen.
