Montreal Impact vs New England Revolution will happen on Saturday at 5:30pm ET in Montreal. Watch the 4th and 8th teams in the Eastern Conference play in the Revolution’s last of five road trip games.

The Montreal Impact and New England Revolution will meet on Saturday for the first of three meetings for the season between the two teams.  The Impact are coming off a three game undefeated streak, with their last two games ending in a draw.  Last week they notably tied 2-2 with Sporting KC with Impact goals coming from Lucas Ontivero and an Ignacio Piatti (PK).

The Revolution will end a 5 game road trip in Montreal, having won 3 of their last 5 games.  This change in momentum comes after a difficult start to the season.  The Revolution only won 1 game in their first 11, but that streak noticeably ended after the transfer of striker Kei Kamara.  Even though he has yet to score a point for the Revolution in MLS play, he has arguably brought desperately needed energy and life into the program.

In Montreal Impact vs New England Revolution all-time meetings, the Impact currently have a 4 game undefeated streak. The last time the Revolution beat the Impact was on September 13, 2014.

Montreal Impact vs New England Revolution: Players to Watch

Chris Tierney, New England Revolution – With a strong left foot that can deliver world class crosses, New England’s left back is key part of the Revolution attack.  Expect to see him be a target for set pieces and try to connect a cross to Kei Kamara.

Kei Kamara, New England Revolution – He just scored his first goal for the Revolution in US Open play, but he has yet to score for his new team in MLS league play.  Can Kamara capitalize on the Revolution’s momentum and get his first MLS goal for the team?  He certainly hopes so.

Ignacio Piatti, Montreal Impact – Ignacio Piatti is having a great season so far for the Impact.  With 9 goals, he leads the team in scoring and is currently tied for second in Golden Boot standings.  The Argentinian national wouldn’t mind being tied for first, so watch him in the attack.  It will be interesting to see how the Revolution defense responds to his attack, especially as he works with Didier Drogba.

Montreal Impact vs New England Revolution: Prediction

Based on the all-time record and their respective forms coming into the match, I predict a 2-2 draw.  The Revolution are anxious to end their road trip on a high note and with enough momentum that will carry them into another two-match week next week.  The Impact look good, but in the end, I don’t think they will overcome New England pressure.
