As of May 26th, you can vote for players to be selected for the 2016 MLS All-Star Game at Avaya Stadium in California. Fans can select up to ten players which includes a goalkeeper, three defenders, four midfielders, and two forwards.

The first selection is the fan vote, which is sometimes not fair to some players. Later, Don Garber will select his Commissioner Picks for the match. This is MLS Multiplex’s selections for the MLS All-Star Game.

GK: Andre Blake

The Jamaican international has been tremendous in net for the Philadelphia Union. He has propelled the Union back line to be one of the best defenses in MLS. Blake has three shutouts and has only allowed 14 goals in thirteen games. The former No.1 pick has been a great asset to the first place Union.

D: Laurent Ciman

Ciman was selected for the 2015 MLS All-Star Game and he deserves another spot. Ciman has been a key leader in the recent success of the Montreal Impact over the last two seasons. He is a great central defender who has stopped many great attackers including Sebastian Giovinco and David Villa.

D: Axel Sjoberg

The young center back has been a pleasant gift for the Colorado Rapids. The Rapids are first in the Western Conference after being the worst team in MLS last season. Sjoberg has been a great defender for the Rapids.

D: Keegan Rosenberry

Rosenberry, a rookie, has proven why he deserves to be mentioned for MLS Rookie of the Year. He is the only rookie in the MLS who has played in every minute of the season. This kid has stopped every superstar you can think of. If any right back in the league deserves an All-Star spot, it is Rosenberry.

M: Ignacio Piatti

Piatti has been one of the best playmakers in Major League Soccer this season. He has scored eight goals from central midfield. He has also tallied three assists. In the beginning of the season, he did not have Didier Drogba on the field so he took matter into his own hands.

M: Sacha Kljestan

In their 21 year history, the Red Bulls have always looked for a No.10 playmaker. After many failures, they have finally found their guy in Kljestan. Kljestan has ten assists in fourteen games. He has made his case for the Landon Donavan Award.

M: Giovani Dos Santos

After Landon Donavan retired, the Galaxy have been looking for an attacking presence to replace him. This season Dos Santos has been a shining light. In only nine games this season, he has tallied six goals and five assists. Dos Santos is helping the Galaxy make their way up the table.

M: Darlington Nagbe

Portland has not been the best team in MLS this season, but Nagbe has been one of the best midfielders. Nagbe has proven himself on the United States National Team. For the Timbers, he has only one goal and three assists but he is a key part of the midfield.

M/F: Tesho Akindele

The FC Dallas man has put to rest his sophomore slump with a great start to this campaign. His ability to play up top or out on the wing has given FCD to deploy him in situations to their advantage.

F: Sebastian Giovinco

The reigning Landon Donovan MVP award has been brilliant for Toronto in 2016. He has already scored eight goals this season. Giovinco is the best forward in MLS. Its a no brainer he should face Arsenal in July.

F: C.J Sapong

Sapong has helped the Union reach the top of the table in the Eastern Conference. He has scored five goals this season. Most people may disagree with this pick, but Sapong has been a complete forward for the Union and deserves a spot.
