1. Kelvin Leerdam

Taking the top spot on MLS Multiplex’s list of the best five Dutch players to ever feature in Major League Soccer is Seattle Sounders defender Kelvin Leerdam.

The defender signed for the Seattle Sounders in the summer of 2017. He has gone on to nail down the right-back spot for the Rave Green, playing over 80 times for the club in Major League Soccer, including starting all 11 post-season matches he has featured in.

HIs best campaign was the 2019 term, scoring five goals and assisting two others in 29 regular-season matches.

The Dutchman then provided the spark in the MLS Cup final, as he scored the opening goal of the game as the Sounders went on to beat Toronto FC 3-1, with Leerdam being a key part of that title-winning group.
