With the 2019 MLS season in the books, MLS Multiplex is taking a look at the best 11 that each team was able to put out during the 2019 campaign. This time, we look at the best team FC Dallas put out.

FC Dallas made it through to the playoffs on the final day of the regular season thanks to a convincing 6-0 Decision Day win over Sporting Kansas City, which they needed having failed to take the three points in any of their last four matches prior to the final day of the campaign.

The Texan side went into the 2019 MLS Cup Playoffs as the No.7 seed and faced a tricky trip to Seattle, the No.2 seed. They never held the lead in the match, falling behind three times. However, they were able to equalise after each goal they conceded, only losing to a Jordan Morris goal in the second half of extra time.

Jesse Gonzalez (6.59)

In his seventh season with FC Dallas, shot-stopper Jesse Gonzalez played 32 of their 34 regular-season matches. He kept eight clean sheets in that span.

The US-Mexico dual-national goalkeeper became a Homegrown player for the club back in 2013 and eventually broke out to become their No.1 ahead of the 2017 season. He has since tallied over a century of appearances for the club in MLS play, with 30 shutouts to show for it.

Gonzalez is under contract with the club for at least another campaign. He will be hoping to get the club back into the playoffs in the 2020 season.
