Vancouver Whitecaps FC

Vancouver have a new primary kit this season and it may be the best in the league. Dubbed the “Hoop jersey,” the new Whitecaps kit is a retro throwback to Vancouver’s hoop kits from their 1979 NASL championship season. The kit features a blue hoop around the chest, with red numbers and letters on the back and a blue collar to match the hoop.

There is a red maple leaf on the left sleeve with “1979 champions” in the leaf. There is also a throwback logo jock tag that features the Whitecaps logo from 1979. The blue hoop around the chest has light blue trim and the Adidas shoulder stripes are also blue. Because of the classic hoop look, unique red numbering and lettering, and retro jock tag, this kit gets the highest grade in the league.

Kit grade: A+
