The 2018 SheBelieves Cup Tournament field matches four top women’s soccer teams in March. The U.S Women’s National Team meets Germany, France, and England.
This U.S-hosted tournament previously resulted in the U.S. Women’s National Team and France winning respectively. Those first two winners face each other in the first 2018 SheBelieves Cup game.
That game happens 4 p.m. ET March 1 at MAPFRE Stadium. That’s just the first game of a USA Women’s doubleheader. At 7 p.m. ET on ESPN2 you’ll see USA vs. France at the same venue.
1. USA, World Cup champion
2. Germany, Olympic champion
Rounding out the appearances, another double-header at Red Bull Arena on March 4 has USA vs. France at noon ET (ESPN2) and Germany vs. England at 3 p.m. That same date at Orlando City Stadium, France vs. Germany at 4 p.m.
Then March 7 at Orlando City Stadium France vs. Germany 4 p.m. ET and on 7 p.m. on ESPNews USA vs. England.
The U.S. Women’s National Team has never played in Orlando City Stadium. They are 5-1-1 at MAPFRE Stadium. The USA is 2-1-1 at Red Bull Arena.
The tournament winner will have the most points. The first tie-breaker, if necessary, looks at overall goal difference. The next tie-breaker looks for most total tournament goals scored. Then if necessary the winner gets decided by head-to-head results and lastly, FIFA ranking.
