Watch: Megan Rapinoe Scores Insane Volley Against Houston Dash

USWNT star and Seattle Reign Midfielder Megan Rapinoe scored an insane volley Saturday night against the Houston Dash.

Saturday night saw the Seattle Reign claim their first win of the year as the Houston Dash traveled up to Memorial Stadium for the second game of the NWSL season. The Reign showed us a dominant performance over the Dash as the home said won 5-1 with goals from five different players including Fishlock, Rapinoe, McNabb, Yanez and Johnson.

The highlight of the game, though, came in the 27th-minute. Jess Fishlock played a through ball to Megan Rapinoe down the left wing. Rapinoe let the ball bounce once and then let go a ferocious left-footed from about 20 yards out. You can watch the goal here:

Rapinoe’s goal was one of four that were nominated for NWSL Week 2 Goal of the Week.

This game was the first time Rapinoe went a full 90 minutes for the Seattle Reign since undergoing knee surgery back in December of 2015. Rapinoe seems happy with where she is at with her recovery:

Obviously it’s been a while [since playing the full 90]. I think I have the lungs for it and the legs for it, it’s just kind of getting everything back together. So far it’s good.

Rapinoe and the Seattle Reign play again this Saturday at home against the Boston Breakers. Kickoff will be at 7pm EST (4pm PST).
