2. Diego Valeri – Last Week 2nd

Valeri was held off the scoresheet this weekend, but the Timbers playmaker is just too good. While he didn’t score this weekend he was instrumental in Portland’s 3-1 win over the Philadelphia Union. Valeri registered an assist and was making great through ball passes to his forwards. He is on pace to be right in the MVP discussion this season.

1. Erick Torres – Last Week 1st 

Finally he was held off the scoresheet as the Houston Dynamo fell to the New England Revolution 2-0. It was the first game this season in which Torres hasn’t scored. He still leads the league in goals scored and he could add to that total against a weak defense in Minnesota United this weekend.
