Denílson de Oliveira Araújo- FC Dallas

Denílson came to the MLS as an international superstar. He came off the bench in the 2002 World Cup Final as Brazil won their 5th title and in 1998 his transfer to Real Betis for $35 million was the transfer fee world record, making him the most expensive player at the time.

With Real Betis, Denílson scored 13 goals in 186 appearaces as a winger but after 2005 when he left the club, his stock dropped as he team-hopped around Europe looking for a steady team.

He found his way to FC Dallas in 2007 and definitely wasn’t the player that broke the world record transfer fee. He joined FC Dallas for the final third of that season, being practically invisible in 8 MLS appearances and only scored 1 goal. That one goal was from a penalty kick on his first start. After those 8 games FC Dallas sent Denílson packing once again. He sure is a good juggler though.
