Some different faces had a big fantasy week in MLS. Take a look at who had a great week and who slumped.

It was a good week if you loaded up on NYCFC or Sporting Kansas City players. New York got a convincing 2-0 win over Philadelphia, while SKC topped Portland getting their 4th shutout of the year. Not surprisingly, they dominated the MLS Fantasy team of the week.

It was also a good week for Chicago Fire players. Bastian Schweinsteiger is continuing to exceed expectations, as he was the leading scorer of the week.

Three Hits and Misses of Week 7

Hit: Jimmy Medranda

Jimmy Medranda still hasn’t given up a goal this season. Both of the goals SKC has given up this season have come after Medranda has been subbed off, meaning he’s gotten a clean sheet bonus every week. He also is playing in a much more attacking role than his defending position leads. He’s a good option if you want cheaper players who can get involved with the attack.

Miss: Cody Cropper

Cropper was a popular low price pick. He was selected by 17 percent of owners but only gave them 1 point after a 3-0 loss to Chicago.

Hit: Romain Alessandrini

After taking a little time to get into a rhythm, Alessandrini has got his groove going in La La Land. He had another goal this weekend and got 8+ points for the third straight week.

Miss: Je-Vaughn Watson

Not to continue to put the Revolution on blast, but when you get negative points you’re going to be on this list. The -3 Watson put up was a worst case scenario for fantasy owners.

Hit: David Villa

This is really just an excuse to post his goal.

Miss: Fandendo Adi

After a dominant first month of the season, there seemed to be few teams in MLS that could slow him down. Sporting Kansas City was able to do just that, holding him to just two points.

Three players to pick up

Kei Kamara

For the first time this season we have teams with two matches in a week. New England is one, and Kei Kamara will look to rebound from last week’s poor team performance.

Jahmir Hyka

San Jose is the other team with two matches this week. Hyka is an in form player with a reasonable price tag.

Evan Bush

Philadelphia is having a rough patch right now. After a lifeless performance against NYCFC, Bush could have himself a good game this weekend.
