One more full weekend of MLS matches before the league slows down for WCQ, the MLS TV schedule is headlined by the Red Bulls traveling to Seattle Sunday.

Week three of the MLS TV schedule is crammed full on Saturday, with just one national TV match Sunday evening. This weekend offers up several big time early season games.

In addition, MLS fans are treated to the debut of a brand new way to watch games each week. UniMas and Facebook are teaming up to deliver over 20 matches through Facebook Live, starting this weekend with Chicago traveling to Atlanta.

Two key matches to watch for on Saturday. First the strong starting Chicago Fire head to the electric Atlanta United. It’ll be another packed house at Bobby Dodd Stadium, for this early season Eastern Conference showdown.

The final game of the night takes the resurgent Houston Dynamo into the fellow undefeated Portland Timbers. A winner here would make someone the early season favorite in the west.

MLS Soccer Sunday

  • 7:00 pm ET: New York Red Bulls at Seattle Sounders (FOX Sports 1)

After being eliminated from the CONCACAF Champions League, the Red Bulls have been clinical in their opening matches. Meanwhile, the Sounders have only seemed awake in the second half of their two games so far. Their home opener and the reveal of the 2016 MLS Cup banner might be just what they need to reset the start of their year.

It is disappointing to see the national televised matches on FS1 and ESPN drop from three in Week 1, to two last week and now one this weekend. However, the debut of the new Facebook Live service will be interesting to see how it is received with fans.
