These two clubs met three times in 2016, with the two splitting the first two meetings, and the final meeting ended all square. Saturday’s match will be the first of three meetings this season.

FC Dallas were led by goals from Maximiliano Urruti and Kellyn Acosta in their win over the Galaxy. The young Acosta has impressed many in his last few appearances for the club, including a brace in the first leg of the CCL quarterfinals. On the backline, Walker Zimmerman has been a force to be reckoned with and this week reports surfacing about a possible move to Germany.

With the CCL semifinals on the horizon, the lineup for this weekend’s match could look different than last time out for FC Dallas.

Sporting KC earned a point on the road last Saturday against D.C. United, as the match finished scoreless. Striker Dom Dwyer had a few opportunities to score against D.C. but failed to come away with his first of the season. Look for him to be hungry for a goal in front of the home fans.

The new additions to the Sporting KC roster performed quite well in week one. One of whom was Ilie, who looked strong in the defensive midfield and will be busy against a potent FC Dallas attack.
