In a recent interview, German International striker, Miroslav Klose, said that if he continues his career, it would be either in China or MLS.

According to Sky Sports Germany, a recent interview has pegged Miroslav Klose as a potential target for Major League Soccer. He has recently completed a season with Lazio in Serie A and has not decided if he will play next year. If he does decide to continue his career, it will be either in China or the United States.

The 38-year old German international ruled out a return to Bundesliga in Germany next year. He is coming off of a season in Italy in which he scored eight goals in 30 league games. He insisted after this past season ended that he wanted to “continue scoring goals.” (Daily Mail)

Klose has played for multiple clubs in Germany and one club in Italy as he has been with FC 08 Homburg, 1. FC Kaiserslautern, Werder Bremen, Bayern Munich, and Lazio. He has been playing professionally for almost 20 years and has been with Lazio since 2011. He became the highest scoring non-Italian born football player for the club in Serie A.

Miroslav recorded 55 goals in 139 appearances during his five year career with Lazio. He has appeared in more than 500 games in all competitions and has scored more than 200 goals in his fabled career. There isn’t much that he hasn’t accomplished but a move to MLS could be the final leg of his career.

Even though Miroslav is entering the later stages of his career, he is still a productive player who could offer a lot to an MLS team for a year or two. He could potentially be a big name player for soon to be MLS clubs, Atlanta United or LAFC, as they are set to begin play in the league soon. Klose has plenty of fans across the globe and in the U.S. and a final run in Major League Soccer could be a great way to finish his career.

A lot of big name players have made the move to China recently as their league is pouring all kinds of big time money into the teams. The Chinese Super League could offer Miroslav more money than an MLS team potentially could. He must first make the decision to either keep playing or to retire.

Here is a look at the interview with Klose:

Klose was also a regular in the German National team since his debut in 2001. He appeared in 137 international games and scored 71 goals for Germany. He is the all-time top scorer in German International football.

It will be interesting to see what happens with Miroslav Klose and what he will decide to do for the upcoming season. After he decides on whether or not to retire, it seems as if it is between China and MLS as to where he could continue his career.
